Rehabilitation & Injury Prevention
Kelly’s Fitness Journey:
Kelly started training with Outright Change Fitness because she needed to build muscle and strength to support her injury prone areas as well as lose weight. She was looking for a trainer whom she could trust and who would treat her as an individual. She had previously been a ballet dancer and had a high degree of hyper extension across several joints. This put her at higher risk of injury as it was putting strain on tendons and ligaments in her knee joints especially which, had been injured as a result. Kelly received advice from her physiotherapist to find a trainer who could help her build strength in specific muscle groups to avoid further injury or accelerated degeneration.
The Results:
By working upon the advice of Kelly’s physiotherapist, Caroline ensured Kelly’s training was always targeted towards meeting this advice, enabling her to pass physiotherapist reviews. As a result, Kelly’s physiotherapist was able to give her the ‘all clear’, suggesting the likelihood of surgical intervention in the future had been lowered to an acceptable level due to an increase in muscle strength in what were previously weaker muscle areas.
Hear from Kelly:
“I got faster…I felt better, and I loved working out outdoors…the variety as each workout was different and the fact that it was built for what I needed at the time. Caroline would also adjust on the day if needed…I worked with a lot of PT’s both in groups and as an individual, Caroline is one of the best I’ve been to. She really understands the body and how it works. She creates workouts that actually use your body in the right way. I have recommended her to my physio for people who need to get moving after injury as working with Caroline got me back up and out there in no time stronger and better than before.”
